Fairway + and 14
The Fairway + and 14 are hybrid bags for the walk, push and carry golfer. Before I got to Callaway, they suffered from a flexing stand system as a result of thin walls due molding constraints from the extended rear low rider design. When the time came to design the next generation, I was eager to innovate. I sketched up and 3D printed a working prototype of a new stand system within a week. This new system solved the strength issues but made management nervous as it was so different from what they knew. Eventually, I was able to hybridize my concept with elements of older stands to create a much stronger system that was even better at mating with carts and cradles that I coined Low Rider Landing Zone. I also designed a new divider system that eliminated the catch points other overmolded tops suffer from when removing clubs. The 14 was a winner of the My Golf Spy Most Wanted award for 2026!
CARGO
CARGO was an exercise in designing the ultimate full featured cart bag. My role was to work with the ID team and develop and engineer the top and base for production with the supplier. Everything about CARGO had to be the biggest. The top required maximized holes and prominently features giant putter and wedge wells at the front designed to keep them from hitting one another, a stadium arrangement for easy management and club finding and most importantly, handles on all sides that can bear the weight of an oversize bag so large that it can hold a full 12 pack of beers and ice. CARGO was a Staff Pick for My Golf Spy in 2025.
